‘Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams
We decided that with the poem we chose, ‘The Cloth of Heaven’, we should have videos of a person. This is because the poem is personal to the poet. Using one person will make it more of a personal video, just like the poem. Also, it will be like a first person monolugue. However, this means the person acting should be the person speaking.
Our first ideas were to have someone walking barefoot through a field. We thought of this because in the poem it talks about walking gently. We thought if the person was barefoot, it would mean they were being more careful. We liked the idea of doing it outside because it talks about light and simpler things in life. By doing it outside its like taking the luxery away of walking on dry ground with shoes.
This might be hard because of the wet weather.
