Colour Correction Tutorial – Class Work

We learnt about colour correction and how to do it. There’s certain things to look at when colour correcting:

  • Brightness – Making it lighter or darker
  • Contrast – Makes blacks really black and whites really white; can reduce or increase detail; makes it stand out
  • Sharpening – Makes lines sharper
  • Situation – Adding pigment to colours to make them more vibrant
  • Exposure – Brings in more light
  • Three way colour – adds or takes away colour from an image; adds colour to parts of the images (dark, mid, light)
